TATTOO REMOVAL

The Hollywood Spectra is a state-of-the-art medical-grade laser used to remove unwanted tattoos. All types of coloured tattoo are effectively removed by its four different wavelengths

1. Laser energy absorption: the concentrated energy is absorbed by the tattoo ink. The laser light selectively targets the ink pigments without significantly affecting the surrounding skin.
2. Fragmentation of ink particles: ink pigments heat up rapidly and break down into tiny fragments.
3. Immune system response: the fragmented ink particles are recognised by the body's immune system as foreign substances. The body's lymphatic system gradually flushes out the fragmented ink particles, which are eliminated through the body's natural processes.

Treatment takes around 30 minutes (allow an extra 30 minutes before for topical anaesthetic cream to take effect).

Results: pigmentation will reduce over 1-2 weeks. We recommend 6-10 treatment sessions, 4-6 weeks apart.

• Apply a cold compress gently to the treated area
• Avoid rubbing or putting pressure on the treated area
• Paracetamol can be taken if required
• Apply hydrating moisturisers regularly
• Avoid excessive oil-based make up, AHAs, retinols and exfoliating cleansers
• Avoid excessive sun exposure, saunas and sources of heat for 72 hours
• Avoid waxing, IPL, dermabrasion, skin-needling and cosmetic injectables for 2 weeks
