PDO THREADS (LIFT)

PDO lifting threads are a type of non-surgical cosmetic treatment that involves the insertion of barbed threads made of a biocompatible material called polydioxanone (PDO) under the skin to instantly lift and restore the natural youthful facial contours.

After local anaesthetic blocks, PDO lifting threads are carefully inserted and gently integrated into the skin. The threads are pulled to produce an effective lift. The innovative barbs are press-moulded in a 360 degree helical pattern, providing the highest tensile strength to anchor onto sagging skin in all directions. The threads stimulate natural collagen production locally around each individual thread.

Treatment takes around 1.5 hours.

Results seen immediately. Threads are reabsorbed over 6 months. Results can last up to 2 years.

• Apply a cold compress gently to the treated area
• Avoid rubbing or putting pressure on the treated area
• Sleep elevated and on your back for 2-3 days
• Paracetamol can be taken if required
• Avoid excessive oil-based make up, AHAs and retinols for 48 hours
• Avoid excessive sun exposure, saunas and sources of heat for 72 hours
• Avoid waxing, IPL, dermabrasion, peels and skin-needling for 1 month
• Wear the support sling for up to 3 weeks
• No dental work for 1 month
